Skin Doctors celebrates its 17th year

Skin Doctors Dermatology Laser Center was established in November 1998 by four dermatologists of the Philippine Dermatological Society: Dr. Ma. Pacita Belisario, Dr. Carlos Pacheco, Dr. Ma. Assumpta Cecilia Serrano and Dr. Lalaine Rabe-Visitacion.

This marks the opening of the first clinic in Gaisano Mall in November 1998 with the aim to make available the first technologically advanced dermatologic care outside a hospital setting catering to patients in Davao City.
Investing in only the finest laser technology, the partners were the first to bring the carbon dioxide laser and eventually the ND:Yag laser in Davao City.

Dr. Karen Lee Alabado joined them in the year 2002, bringing the partnership to five members. In 2007, a second clinic was opened at Robinson’s Cybergate and by 2008 the company introduced its’ diode laser for hair removal and ReFirme for skin tightening. In 2012, the company had evolved into a corporation bringing in Dr. Christine Calolot as a new partner.

Dr. Calolot is a graduate of the UP College of Medicine who took her training in Dermatology at the Southern Philippines Medical Center. Closure of the Robinson’s Cybergate branch ushered in a new branch, known today as QuinQue by Skin Doctors, which opened in SM Lanang Premier in April 2014.

QuinQue caters to clientele based in the northern regions of Davao and is frequented mostly by clients needing medical and aesthetic services after office hours. QuinQue clinic features the Ematrix, which offers treatment for scars and skin tightening.

Going strong in its 17th year of operations, the company formally introduces Dr. Christine Calolot and also welcomes a new partner in Dr. Jennifer Aileen Ang-Tangtatco, a young graduate of the UST College of Medicine and the Dermatology program of the Southern Philippines Medical Center, who will soon be taking her Fellowship in Pediatric Dermatology in Canada.

Expanding its services to cater to a younger clientele it now introduces the first waxing services in Gaisano Mall, including body aesthetic services with lipocavitation and ReShape machines.

With such commitment to give Dabawenyos the best and safe services and products, Skin Doctors dermatologists have personally developed and tested a new product line called Skin Factor.
