This year’s Scott Kelby Photowalk held in Davao was not only memorable for photographers coming together from different organizations and clubs, but for a group of young individuals whose lives are changed as soon as they hold cameras in their hands. The annual walk was not only for a worldwide charity event (Springs of Hope Kenya Children’s Home), but to assist a local group called The Global Story Tellers United Inc., founded by photowalk leader Dennis Tan.

The Story Tellers are composed of deaf and mute young kids along with mentors and interpreters who patiently communicate with them. Their slogan is to “Let the photo do the talking.” Communicating by sign language, they joined the photographers in a street photography around downtown Davao which ended with snacks and bonding at the newly opened Keepsakes outlet along Mayon Road. Pizza was good!
Congratulations to a successful photo walk!
