People’s Park is an urban public park in central Davao City covering an area of 4 hectares. Formerly the famous old PTA Grounds I used to hang out with classmates during inter-school sports events, this P72M worth recreational park opened on December 15, 2007. A “name that park” contest was launched by the city government, and there you have it.
Formerly the famous PTA Grounds in Davao City, this P72 M worth People’s Park opened on December 15, 2007 which features a mini-forest, interactive fountains, waterfalls and ponds, a kid’s toyland and large sculptures representing indigenous groups in Southern Mindanao and the Philippine eagle.
Locals and tourists have something to stare at in delight at night. Evenings in the People’s Park (formerly the PTA Grounds) are filled with families and groups enjoying the cool breeze and marveling at the colored lights in splashing fountains beside the bridge.
